Tomahawk

Forge-welded, American-style tomahawk.

Head hand-forged of mild steel with hardened and tempered W-2 cutting edge and back hammer face, affixed with five copper pins.

Handle of American tiger maple with copper wire inlay, traditionally stained and finished with aqua fortis, linseed oil and beeswax. (Thanks to Robert Sherwood for teaching me the forging methods and wire inlay techniques.)
